What is it?

The Turbotune DT is an add-on electronic box that plugs into your diesel vehicle's fuel sensor wiring and alters the fuelling to give more torque and power.

This need no alterations to the existing wiring as the module is supplied with a 'T' wire meaning that it can both fitted and removed quickly. Fitting and removal takes just a few minutes on the majority of vehicles*. When removed, no can tell it was ever fitted.

The Turbotune DT tuning box works by intercepting the signals/data between the fuel sensor and the ECU (Engine Control Unit). The box digitally remaps the information to increase the fuel delivered, thus increasing the torque and BHP. This DOES NOT involve re-programming or replacing the vehicle ECU chip. The Turbotune DT module does not alter turbo boost pressure or any other engine parameters - everything else remains under the control of the engine management system.

The robust module can be easily fitted yourself - 1000's have already successfully installed them - our tuning boxes are supplied with a 'T' cable and full installation instructions and once installed are secured by heavy duty Velcro to any dry, clean surface under the bonnet. Turbotune DT Controls: OFF/ON - Off returns the performance to standard Centre switch - sets low rpm torque. Lower switch - sets high rpm torque (and hence max bhp). All settings are an increase on standard. Many owners find medium/medium to give the best of both worlds - a good performance boost usually with improved economy - 10% is typical.

 

* NOTE: The 1.4 and 1.6 litre diesel unit used on Peugeot/Citroen/Fords has the sensor unit located on the back of the engine and does require some dismantling in order to gain access. whilst not complicated this does mean that installation/removal does take longer than with most vehicles.
